Service Name: HIV and Hepatitis C (HCV) Testing (Boulder County AIDS Project (BCAP))

Boulder, Broomfield, Clear Creek, Gilpin,

Note about Languages, if not in English:
Spanish Speaking Test Counselors are available.

Service Description:
BCAP's HIV and HCV testing services provide people, specifically those most at risk, with a safe and inclusive environment to learn their HIV and HCV status. Testing is administered by a trained test counselor during a 30 to 60 minute testing and counseling session using a rapid HIV and/or HCV antibody testing kit(s). Services are provided free of charge. BCAP provides HIV and HCV testing at the BCAP Boulder office by appointment. BCAP also provide HIV and HCV testing at community partner locations. Clients who receive a reactive test are provided post testing support and referrals for confirmatory testing, including an active referral to medical case management and medical care.

Eligibility:
Anyone 13 years and older can receive a free, rapid, confidential HIV test at BCAP. Anonymous testing provided upon request. Couples testing provided upon request. Anyone 15 years and older with specific risk factors can receive a free, rapid, confidential HCV test at BCAP.

Referral / Admissions:
BCAP provides HIV and HCV testing by appointment at the BCAP Boulder office Monday through Friday 9am to 5:30pm. HIV testing appointments can be made by calling BCAP at (303) 444-6121 or visiting bcap.org. HCV testing appointments can be made by calling BCAP at (303) 444-6121. Walk-ins for testing are prioritized depending on staff availability. Walk-ins are welcome when BCAP is providing testing at community partner locations.
