Service Description:
The Colorado AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) is a program to provide AIDS-specific medications at no cost on an outpatient basis to Colorado residents who qualify for the program. Eligibility:
How do you qualify for ADAP? There are three qualifications for the program: You must be a Colorado resident. You must have proof of HIV positive diagnosis from a doctor or testing facility. You must be at or below 500 percent of the Federal Poverty Level, (see below). If you have access to insurance (private, employer, Medicare or Medicaid), you will be placed into a plan within Colorado ADAP that "wraps around" that insurance to help you pay for the costs you would otherwise have to pay, like premiums, deductibles, coinsurance and co-pays. What medications are on the ADAP Formulary? go to www.stdhivco.org and go to ADAP RELATED DOCUMENTS to find the latest copy of the ADAP formulary. The ADAP formulary contains all HIV specific treatment therapies, as well as many medications that are needed to combat opportunistic infections and side effects of those HIV medications. Some medications that are prescribed for clients who are also diagnosed with mental health issues are covered as well.
